Events
Plympton throws amazing events: delightful parties, illuminating talks, and creative gatherings. We don’t just want to gather writers and readers together to move storytelling in brave new directions. We also want to bring them together, and we do it all across the country. Look for parties at SXSW and the Sundance Film Festival. Have an idea for an event? Contact us.
Our current event is the Twitter Fiction Festival Live Event on December 1, 2012 at the NYPL.
Our first major event was a conversation with Twitter and The New Yorker on the Future of Fiction. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, 3 p.m. at The New York Public Library. Co-hosted with the Brown Institute for Media Innovation.
In addition, some of the events we are currently planning:
Writeathons! We’ll gather a whole lot of writers together in one big place for a day of boundary-pushing creativity. Great food, great writing, great fun. Boston, New York and perhaps other places.
Talks. One of our goals at Plympton is to help writers understand the changing landscape of publishing.
Parties. We love parties. We hope you do, too. We’re planning launch parties in New York City, San Francisco, and Boston on the model of the great literary soirees of yore. If you feel strongly about bringing a party to your city, contact us. We don’t tire easily.
